Terms of Service

By accessing or using Klip ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Klip is a VS Code extension that helps developers manage and resume AI coding sessions from agents like Claude Code and Codex. The extension operates locally on your machine — your session data is never transmitted to our servers.

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Klip offers a free tier with core functionality, and a paid Pro tier with additional features. The free tier is not time-limited and includes:

• Unified session sidebar
• Session browsing and resume
• Basic search
• Workspace-based organization

Pro features require an active subscription and are subject to the billing terms below.

For paid subscriptions:

• Billing occurs at the start of each billing period (monthly or yearly)
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard
• Refunds are available within 30 days of purchase upon request
• Prices may change with 30 days notice; existing subscriptions are honored until renewal

The first 10,000 yearly subscribers ("Founding Members") receive special benefits:

• Exclusive discounts on all Klip Tool Suites and Add-ons
• Early access to new features and beta releases
• Locked-in yearly pricing that will not increase as long as subscription remains active
• These benefits are non-transferable and apply only to the original subscriber's account

Founding Member status is tracked by subscription creation date and will be clearly indicated in your account dashboard.

Your license may be limited to a certain number of devices. We collect device identifiers solely to enforce these limits. See our Privacy Policy for details on what device information we collect.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Circumvent license verification or device limits
• Share your account credentials with others
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Klip and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your session data and code remain your property. We do not claim any ownership rights to content you create or manage using the Service.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding your personal information.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KLIP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Your local session data remains on your machine and is unaffected by account termination.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is located, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
